Nick Deutschmann
Nick specializes in product development, design for manufacturing (DFM), additive manufacturing, reverse engineering and advanced CAD modeling. His work focuses on translating complex requirements, physical components and early-stage concepts into manufacturable products and production-ready designs.
His technical experience includes 3D scanning and scan-to-CAD workflows, reverse engineering, parametric modeling, prototyping and designing components specifically for additive and conventional manufacturing processes.
Nick was recognized for technology development and additive prototyping contributions to a peritoneal dialysis infection-screening medical device, including fabrication of functional components supporting the project's progression into medical evaluation. The work was subsequently published in Scientific Reports, a Nature Portfolio journal.
Through Additive Product, Nick continues to develop proprietary products and manufacturing solutions, including a patent-pending additively manufactured manifold. His work combines DFM, digital manufacturing, rapid prototyping and practical engineering to move projects from concept or existing part to validated design and production.
Jim Deutschmann
Jim brings decades of business, technology, operations and customer-delivery experience to Additive Product. His career includes leadership roles with Hewlett-Packard, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Nextel Communications supporting large enterprise technology organizations and complex customer environments.
Throughout his career, Jim has been responsible for turning requirements, contracts, resources, suppliers, budgets and schedules into successful operational outcomes. His experience includes contract and vendor management, third-party service delivery, sourcing, project execution, process improvement, budgeting, risk management and coordinating geographically distributed teams and suppliers.
At Hewlett-Packard, Jim managed enterprise technology service delivery involving more than 200 global resources across multiple disciplines and more than $43 million in outsourced service contracts. Earlier roles included major technology deployments, infrastructure programs, supplier coordination, operational transformations and large-scale customer projects.
At Additive Product, Jim applies that experience to the commercial and operational side of product development and manufacturing—working with customers, suppliers, manufacturing partners and technical resources to move projects efficiently from requirement and quotation through sourcing, production, delivery and completion.
